Miroslav Jech: Transition and calibration elite athlete's identity at the end of a sports career "In a sporting career, the only certainty is its end. " A peak sporting career entails a long-term maximization of needs in many aspects of life, but especially in psychological, physical, social and financial aspects. Although the focus of psychology is currently on the origins and progression of a sporting career with the aim of maximising competitive performance, the subsequent exit of the individuals from this specific environment is still being neglected, despite the fact that it appears from existing research to be a determinant of the subsequent quality of life. In our thesis, the main aim is to identify the motivational factors that emerged and led top athletes to quit their sporting careers. How did they experience the end of their career, how did they cope with it and what are the genres of their identities. A qualitative design was used to better understand the motivational states that individuals experienced when they left the sporting environment, allowing us some flexibility as we assumed inconsistency in sporting career paths. Reasons for termination of racing and professional tennis career prospective players

Title: The reasons of the early career termination of professional tennis players Objectives: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to ascertain and analyse reasons of, career termination of tennis players, who had assumptions to make a mark into professional tennis section and tried it for a while. Method: In this bachelor's thesis was used a qualitative type of research. The case study of four tennis players was chosen. We used the method of structured interview with opened questions, participant observation and analysis of documents. Results: The resulting ascertainment of this thesis is, that there are more reasons of career termination by professional tennis players. We found the main reasons of the career termination, are problems with tennis funding psychic component of achievement. Key words: Career termination, professional tennis
